    USB game controller connect-disconnect-connect...


    When I plug in my game controller, Windows acknowledges it plugged in (connect sound), then shortly after gives me the disconnect sound. This is where it gets strange...

    Windows acknowledges controller plugged in. Start a game, controller not there.
    Exit game, re-enter game, controller there.

    Can someone help me stop having to load games twice?

    Check cable and USB slot for anomalies also try the controller in a different USB port, just in case use the back ports.
