Click sound - please an advice

I use one external enclosure to manage all my HDDs that I can't plug on my motherboard

Every HDD is alright except
I have one that make a small click(beep) sound when I push the off button on the enclosure

Yes I safely remove the drive every time before pushing on the off button

This almost new drive shows sign of soon to fail?

The click may be due to the head being parked.
Use HWiNFO - Download. It's a portable, no need to install.
Check the disk SMART with it.

Thanks Megahertz07, it's apreciated, and the software is very great

I attached a picture to my reply, the window show all smart status green OK

So this click, beep, is not important?

If its problematic I can put all my stuff into another drive

I've heard that SMART status are not representative of the real health

As you have all WD HDD, use the WD tool to check them.
Software and Firmware Downloads | WD Support

HDD and SSD's can fail. It's always good to have a backup. Better be safe than sorry.

I have acronis drive monitor + HDDlife pro already

---now that WD tool is installed I see that it does not show stats for the external drive
I had it already installed and it has been of no use for me

It even shows 2 drives instead of four

My main question is

Should be alarmed by the click ?

As I wrote, the click maybe due to the head being parked. It is a guess. Can't guarantee it is safe or not.
Also, as I already wrote, if you have something you cant loose, make a backup.

Just a thought.

Does your external enclosure have it's own external power source?
If the external enclosure isn't getting a full 12 volts it will click.

My rule of the thumb.
If a hard drive is making strange noise and has the proper voltage I save the data to another know good drive and throw the ticking drive out.
Their is not fixing hard drive internal problems.
