    Laptop screen acting very dodgy

    Hello,
It happened about a week ago. I was working on my laptop (as usual) then the screen just dimmed into darkness. Restarted my computer, darkness however you can slightly see into the computer but not much. Then after a few few days the BIOS beeped 4 times when starting the computer.
Then black dots appeared on the screen. Then the screen would randomly turn on for a second then turn off again.
Then whenever I booted the pc up the manufacturer logo would appear in full brightness (slightly flashy) then the screen turns off again.
I have no idea what's going on. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

Before this happened I installed PC remote (so I can use the computer and see the screen on my phone) so if someone asks me to do something on the PC I can. P

Sounds like your monitor is bad. Here are some things to try:
    • Plug in an external monitor. See if the display looks good on the external. If so, then it could be a bad driver or a video hardware problem.
    • Reboot into Low Resolution Video -- When you reboot, start tapping the F8 key as soon as the Acer logo disappears; then select Enable Low-Resolution Video. This will put you into VGA mode, which in plain English means "plain vanilla video". If the problem disappears when you do this, then you probably have a bad video driver.
Reinstall the video driver, then reboot. If the problem clears up after you do this, then the driver was the problem. If not, then you have a hardware problem, likely the monitor itself. At that point, you can either replace the monitor, or you can simply use an external monitor.

As the screen seems normal before you enter Windows, I would say the PC remote has changed the brightness of your screen.
Laptops normally has a keyboard button to increase / decrease brightness. Did you tried it?

Perhaps the remote program change the display settings, so your laptop screen no longer stands as primary screen.
As mrjimphelps says, test F8 and start windows low resolution or better boot in to safe mode and check your screen settings and drivers
