Windows 7: Which motherboard for i7?

1156 sockets = i7 870's and 860's

1366 socket = i7 920's , 950's , 975

ANY 1156 board does not meet your "desire" for 3 x16 slots, but don't forget....there are no cards that use that much bandwidth. The new ones barely use x8 (as I understand it)

If they DO use x8 it's barely...I would not worry about 3 x16 slots. You will never use it. Get a new board that has USB3 and SATA3. That's something you will use eventually.
