As you already took the HDD from the case and attached to a SATA port and it failed on the SeaTools test, I would say it's gone.
There are companies that retrieve data from bad disks but it will cost you high amount.

I tried the "sudo nautilus" solution, but the hard disk didn't show up in Nautilus... I also tried "Disks" and "GParted" where it shows as a 4,1GB and 3,81GB harddisk. A similar situation to the Windows Disk Partition. Disks said it was a healthy drive with one bad sector.
Anyway, are there any other solutions? Maybe a hardware issue I can have a look at. Maybe the PCB? Or any other solution?

There are two types of disk problems: Hardware and software.
Software problems has a chance to be fixed.
As it failed on the SeaTools test, that is primary a hardware test, you won't be able to fix it. There is nothing you can do but to send the disk to a company that retrieve data from bad disks.

Sorry for bringing this thread up again, but something strange happened. I had plugged the harddisk directly into our desktop using the SATA connection. You can see my posts above about this and the original problems. I had never taken the time to take it out of the desktop again. A few weeks ago it showed up normally! I was surprised and happy to see this! I directly started to copy some files. And then I tried to do a large amount of files. But then it hanged. I had to shut down the computer forcibly and when I restarted it was gone. Then a few days later it showed up again. I copied some of the smaller and more important files, like my documents. I tried to do a bunch of my own recorded videos, but it hanged again...
Now it hasn't been showing up for quite a while.
Does anyone know what happened? Why did it show up again? And is there something I can do to make it work permanently or at least long enough to copy everything of it?

In that case however the OP was able to retrieve all his data by plugging in the external drive to the same laptop on which it was not recognised earlier.

One thing definite was that it had a lot of bad sectors. When he tried to format it wouldn't. When he tried to do a lowlevel format with HDD LLF Lowlevel format tool ( writing zeros to all sectors) he only got I/O errors confirming a lot of bad sectors.
How did it work sometime later on the same laptop where it was not recognised earlier? - there is no answer.
In your case also you managed to retrieve some data if not all. You may perhaps try the HDD in some other PC ( either as an internal drive or as an external drive) and try your luck.
( Your HDD has failed the SeaTools test. So it is dead. With an intermittent behaviour like this, no data recovery software will work to retrieve the data.)
