USB 3.1 Gen2 Motherboard Headers: Dual Ported Cables in Future

Only single-ported cables are current on the market. Is this due to newness of these headers? Will there likely be dual-ported cables (such as those for 3.0 & 2.0) available soon? Or might there be a limiting technical factor to prevent such a cable?

    Thank you

The USB connectors on the picture aren't standard. USB - Wikipedia
The standard connector for USB 3.2 is type C.
There are many non standard connectors, created by companies like Apple.

As far as I can tell, USB 3.2 hasn't been implemented yet and I hope it never is. It's the same speed as USB 3.1 Gen 1 and only limits the form factor to Type C. All it does is add to the current confusion on what is what.

Also, the connectors in the photo are standard connectors for USB 3.1 Gen 2 and are in use already. The one on the left is the panel connector and the one on the right is for the MOBO header. Most of the recent MOBOs now have the headers for those connectors.

As to why they have decided to go with single connector headers instead of dual ones, I don't know. Maybe because twice as much bandwidth is required per port and the MOBOs can't supply it or it's just more lunacy from the misbegotten morons who came up with the idiotic USB 3.1 Gen 1 & 2 B.S.
