Recovery from Portable Device is not working!

Hey guys, I have WesternDigital 120 GB Harddrive from past couple of years. I used to store data and accidently my data wiped. Now I am trying to recover it from Recuva and from EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard.

Its showing me Overwritten and this icon on the image files.

Let me know how to get those images and videos back with working!

    Thanks!

How long time ago is it since your data got wiped?
Have you used the hard drive after it's data was deleted?

    Hi jk22,

I agree with Marie SWE, Recuva is a good choice to use to try and recover your data.
As Marie SWE has asked, have you used (copied data etc to it) the hard after the data was deleted?
This is important because if you have, then some of the deleted sectors, which hold your deleted data, will have been overwritten with new data!

Here is the Recuva link: Recuva

    I hope this helps!

    1. External HDD??? Internal HDD???

    2. Define the accident that erased your HDD. " accidentally " is a general statement with which we can't get any information as to how it got wiped and to what extent..

    3. Post a screenshot of Windows Disk Management and upload to Seven Forums.

    Deleted or wiped?

If you used a wiper, then you probably can't recover it yourself. It is possible that a specialist data recovery company might be able to, but it is costly.

Did you have system restore switched on for that drive? If so, then depending what you did to the drive, see if the free shadowcopyview can find anything.

If you are looking for photos, you could try ZAR - You do not need a paid version of ZAR to do photo recovery. This set of functions is provided free of charge. Also try shadowcopyview ( if you have shadowcopies).
    Digital image recovery - ZAR

    Otherwise, you are SOL.
