Various USB devices not starting with Windows

When I boot up my computer some of my USB devices, currently my Edimax AC1200 WiFi adapter and my ASUS BT400 bluetooth radio, don't turn on until I remove them and plug them back in. I've tried reinstalling the drivers, using different USB ports, and disabling the option to let windows shut down the USB root hubs and the WiFi radio to save power (the BT radio didn't have that option). No luck. Any help I can get with this would be greatly appreciated

Does it happen only after a cold boot?
On BIOS, is fast boot enabled?

I have the same problem with my Razer kraken 7.1 v2 headset. In order for them to work i have to unplug them and then replug them to get them to work.

It happens after any boot, and fast boot is not enabled. I've figured out though, that having fewer USB devices plugged in at startup allows all my devices to start, however this is still a bit of a problem itself being limited like that.

Do you perhaps have a setting in BIOS that may be the culprit?

As it stands right now, it sounds like a power issue, but if this is a desktop it shouldn't be the case. If it is you need a good quility USB powered hub.

You could try USBDeview and remove all devices then reboot the computer. You may not have keyboard/mouse ability after this so a PS/2 mouse would be nice to have. Or just remove all the USB devices and do a hard power off by pressing and holding power, wait 30 seconds and boot again. Make a system restore point first. I don't know if this will fix your issue, but it's worth a shot.

Have you read Event Viewer?

Do you notice in the taskbar your WIFI taking a while to get a connection?

Does the Edimax AC1200 WiFi adapter have a built in battery. I have a Netgear MR1100 mobile broadband modem, with an internal battery, that can use a USB3 port for connection & I had problems getting it to connect on start up & I found that if I started the modem first & at a certain stage then start the computer it would connect properly.

I have now decided to connect it via the Ethernet connection as the modem has a port for that & it works a lot better & I use the USB connection on the modem to charge the battery from it's external battery charger.
