    Monitor Brightness

I have an old Dell 19 inch monitor which has four buttons on the lower right of the screen. I think the Model is 1905FP. When I press the button on the left, I get a popup that has a list including "Brightness", but I don't see anyway to move from category to category in order to adjust the brightness.

Does anyone have a clue how to do this? I really really need to darken the text and icons on the screen.

    Thanks

The logic of the Dell monitors is to use the 'Menu' button as a select button, and use the '+' and '-' buttons to navigate up and down.

I think you press the menu button once, then you press either + or - to navigate to 'brightness' item, then you press menu button again to select item.

The forth button is the monitor 'on/off' button, so that wont help in this situation.

OK that allowed me to get to Brightness (100 %) and Contrast (50%), but then I could NOT change the contrast using any of the buttons.

As per your original question, did you get to Brightness item from the monitor's menu list, with the advise that I provided?

I can get to the Brightness/Contrast and select either, but I can not get it to change.
