Which Systems Support Win 7 ?

I heave heard recently , that the "latest" PC's will not work with Win 7 .
Can someone please elaborate on this .
Which systems will , and which will not , work with Win 7 .
Is it the chipset here which affects things here ?

    Hi user77777,
Microsoft contends that the new Skylake processors will not run win 7, 8.1. Here's an article on it to peruse.

Microsoft says new processors will only work with Windows 10

    Snick,

    That is wrong.

Amd has released drivers to run win7. Works great with Threadripper.

    Intel are less helpful.

Skylake is officially supported. Win7 runs fine on Kabylake as well.

It is just a matter of adding the correct drivers.

However, USB ports won't work on Intel H370 , B360 and H310 chipsets. Therefore use an external PCI controller for those.

That is a fancy one. Cheaper versions are available at about half the price.

    @ian50

PCI stands for Peripheral Component Interconnect and is an industry standard bus for attaching peripheral devices to a computer. The PCI Simple Communications Controller is a generic label that Windows gives to installed PCI boards in Device Manager, when the drivers for the device are not installed.

No. But you only need one if you have the following chipsets:
    Intel H370, B360 and H310 chipsets

Atak has made a thing that can install all the drivers into the installation media. It is a big download because it includes everything for Intel and AMD. It also takes a long time to do the job.
