I found another power supply that used to go to a zip drive, but the cylinder-shaped connector wouldn't stay plugged in; it just kept falling out when I tried to push it in.

    BTW - I'm a she, not a he.
In that case, it is probably a 2.1 mm connector, rather than a 2.5 mm connector. I would make a trip to Best Buy or Circuit City (if they are still around) and buy a universal adapter. You can configure the tip properly and set the voltage. You will need positive tip polarity, I believe, if the pictures are correct in this thread.

Best Buy still exists. Circuit City went the way of the dodo bird. Pretty sad how the Internet, especially with Amazon has killed off a lot of brick and mortar stores.

Do they actually still have a Circuit City in Canada?

Our latest to have closed was Toys Я Us.

Especially for people who don't have "plastic" money and can't buy over the Internet.

No Circuit City in Canada AFAIK. We have The Source which are just old Radio Shack stores under a new name. All they want to sell is drones and cell phones.

Same here for our Radio Shacks. Damn shame. There was a commercial here that said they were going "back to the 80's." But that never happened. I used to be able to buy coaxial cable there and a lot of other nifty stuff for my radio communications interest/hobby.
