    Are there ways to do factory re-set on LG phone by connecting to laptop via USB?
    ================================================== ==

    Thanks for replies to my threads.

    I have a laptop with Win 7.

    I have LG tribute HD 4G LTE smartphone with Android. It worked good but White Vertical Lines showing up.

    I took the battery out an put it back after a while. It did not fix the issue.

    This phone did not expose to water.

    The bad screens display vertical lines with a white background. Has anyone else had this problem?

    If I press power on button, the screen with white lines comes and screen goes black. I am not able to get to dial pad to do unlock/re-set.

    Is there any way to do factory re-set, by connecting the smart phone to computer via USB?

    Any idea to fix this ?

    Thanks for helping.

    Your question is on the wrong forum. It should be on a LG or Android forum.
    I received a Samsung J5 that was unlocked but has a software from a service provider different from what I use. I found on the internet how to clean and reinstall all appropriate software.
    I would say that the white lines are a hardware problem and a factory reset wont fix it.

    You can factory reset an Android device by holding down a volume button and power button at same time.

    An Android Operating System can be re-installed by downloading Android onto your PC, and then saving to memory card.

    I forget the details of how these can be achieved. Probably need a certain version of Android installed on your device before this is technically possible.
