Getting a black screen from both external and onboard gpu

Hi,

So like the headline says, I'm getting a black screen from both external and onboard gpu. Sometimes the pc will just work (even for days) but mostly, when I try to turn it on I get black screen from both outputs. Funny thing is that after turning it on, I can log in via teamviewer and the pc works flawlessly. Usually, after plugging it off the wall and turning the power supply on and off multiple times, the pc works and I get a visual output - until next time.
What Could it be? I'm really lost here. I tried different cables and screens to no avail.

Bonus feature: Yesterday, my father turned it on. it worked for some minutes until the screen froze completely and so he had to reboot.

Thanks and all the best,

Samuel

Does it work in safe mode?

To get into Safe mode, while the computer boots keep pressing the F8 key.

If you don't have a signal via the onboard GPU or dedicated GPU, I'm assuming it's the monitor. But you said you tried multiple monitors?

Yeah, try safe mode. Perhaps there's a driver conflict there somewhere.

Thanks for your reply!
At the times I don't get a signal it wouldn't even show the motherboard logo screen.
At the times I do get a signal, everything will usually work for many hours until I turn it off.
I did try a different monitor with a different cable - did not help.

Maybe a bad power supply?

Your specs say desktop, but the model number is a laptop?

Bad PSU would be my next guess.

What is the make and model of the PSU? How old is it? If it's 7 years or more old, consider replacing it.

(That's an awesome avatar, HAVOC. )

Okay, that's a known brand and I think is pretty decent.
