New 4T HD acting up, cant see contents now.

I installed a new HD 4T Blue yesterday using DskManger, transfered 1T yesterday.
Today it wont allow anything to be added, it just hangs. Did a right click properties check dsk and now cant see the contents and the drive name changed to local drive (D:).
Tried again with properties and it hangs and the whole system just hangs (except the music im listening to.
tried CMD chkdsk D: and it just blinks on the next line.
Grabbed DiskGenius and when I try and run it it just hangs at start up.
I have 6 drives on my workstation, the other 5 drives work fine as usual.
    Ran out of ideas.

    Thanks!

    CMD came back finaly.
"All NTFS boot sectors are unreadable and corrupt. Cannot continue.
Running WD data lifeguard as well and is now running (its showing up now), see what happens. Still need to know what happened if the HD data shows up again.

    Welcome to the Forum.

Is the disk low formatted as Legacy - MBR or UEFI - GPT?
How may partitions you have on it?
Is it an internal HDD or external (USB or eSATA)?

Use Crystal disk to see the SMART of the disk Downloading File /70096/CrystalDiskInfo7_8_3.exe - CrystalDiskInfo - OSDN
    Don't need to be installed

    Hardware seems to be good.
Open a CMD window as admin and type
    chkdsk D: /f
