Vista: Seagate Expansion Desk USB 4tb.

I have bought such a disk and Vista installs the driver and the disk shows up in HDD Regenerator but it doesn't show up in my computer. I read that Vista only supports 2tb disks, How to make it run on Vista? I found it in Disk management and activated GPT and it marks not allocated. I can't format with GPT in Vista.

You need to create at least one partition.

Right-click the unallocated space on the right side of the status row for that disk, and then click New Simple Volume. Follow the steps in the partition wizard to complete this process.

I can't format to GPT in diskmgmt.msc in Vista, Only NTFS or Fat32. As usual i forgot to read complete. I will format to NTFS and then convert to GPT, if it works.

I did a quick format in disk management Ntfs and the disk came up to 3,63tb in Ntfs. The total size in gb is 3725,50gb. Is that 3,63tb? A format in disk management in not fast mode took too long time only 12% in 9h.

    Fast mode is perfectly sufficient.

Anyone knows why Vista sometimes has hard to safe remove external drives? In windows 7 i can safe remove everytime but in Vista it only comes up another program is using the disk and it cannot disconnect. I have tried to close all program that can use the disk but it is the same.
