changing existing 3.5'' h/drive to a 2.5'' SSD in my PC

I want to upgrade my desktop PC from 3.5'' internal h/drive to an 2.5'' SSD. I've been told I need a 'caddy'.
Can anyone enlighten me with some usefull links please?

It depends on your computer case. If the case already has 2.5" bays, then you can go ahead and install directly into one of those sized bays. The relevant question here is, which computer case are you using?

An older case probably does not have any 2.5" bays. In which case, you have two choices, either fit the SSD as an external device by using an external disk caddy, or convert a spare 3.5" bay from inside the case, to a 2.5" bay by using a HDD/SDD bay converter.

yes case is a CoolerMaster with 3.5'' only and I don't want external.
I can find lots of caddy's but am unsure about cables as I have none for 2.5 SSD inside.
Can I buy adapters, what should I look for please?

You can use one molex power connector and the SATA cable to connect the SSD to the motherboard. There is no difference in cable.

Because the SSD is smaller than HDD, then you need an "adaptor", "enclosure" "HDD to SDD", etc.

I have the SSD now I'll get a caddy 1st then check internal cables before buying sugggested Molex adapter, it may inside allready!

The cables used on a 2.5"SSD are the same used on a 3.5" HDD. A SATA cable and a power connector from the PS.
