Sorry it takes me so long to get back to these threads. I tried the above fix, but after I put in your link for the cleanmgr (bold print) my computer tells me that it cannot find the link. I box does pops up and starts doing a clean up, but I don't get a choice to check any boxes. Also, I can just reset this computer back to the start, but I don't have the original key, or any of the start up disc, plus I don't want to loose the Microsoft office. My husband was not very good at holding on to important things like this. Is there a way I can get these things or do this with out them? I'm thinking its my only option anymore. Hate to throw the thing away, as it is not very old and in excellent condition to have as a general all access computer in my house

I did all the cleanups you guys suggested and still very little room. I think this computer has programs that are installed, not showing up on the programs list and/or possible a partition or hidden drive? I just can't figure this out for the life of me

Can you tell us how much space is left on your drive?

I can see other programs and files if I look on the C drive. Does just deleting those get rid of programs? Plus I'm not even sure what is safe to delete. That's why I thought just wiping the drive would be the best solution. There is also like a home group with other users that is locked, but no one knows the password

When you have software that you no longer want, the worst thing you can do is to just delete them!

They need to be uninstalled properly. They can be uninstalled in Programs and Features [which can still leave bits behind], or you can download and run Revo Uninstaller [FREE] from here => Revo Uninstaller.

When you run scan for leftover items make sure that you use the Advanced Scan option, then tick everything and delete it.

You will obviously need to make room to be able to install Revo Uninstaller first though.

    I hope this helps!

This is so frustrating. I was able to get enough space to download and run. Its still only showing the programs listed in the programs menu. there is not 203 GB of programs. Where the heck are they? and why is my drive full? I can even copy and paste to show you what little I have.

    To use printscreen,

    1. Have the screen you wish to capture viewable
    2. press printscreen
    3. open paint
    4. press CTRL + v
    5. save on desktop, default Untitled.png is fine
    6. upload

You can use Windows snipping tool to draw a box around what you wish to capture and then crop it and save.
