shrink drive C:

Full disk image to external hard drive before you try to shrink your C: drive
Expanding is pretty easy, shrinking is another story. Windows places some of its unmovable files near the end of the disk partition it is written upon. If you just shrink/resize, you run the very real possibility/most probably will damage the OS beyond bootable.

Perfect Disk will accomplish what you wish to do. It may not be able to shrink the volume to what you want, but it will be able to shrink to allowable limits. If you use Revo Uninstaller to remove it (removes trial cookie too) after you use Perfect Disk, you can use trial again.

If your computer has System Restore enabled (which it is by default), the files/clusters taken up by System Restore can NOT be moved around by disk defragmenters. If Hibernation is enabled, the hibernate file also can not be moved. This can result in the in-ability to "shrink" a drive.

To achieve the best "shrinking" of a drive, you'll need to do the following:
1. Backup (full system image) of your drive to an external hard drive
2. Windows 7/Vista - Turn off System Restore (WARNING: Turning off System Restore will delete any Restore Points).
3. Disable Hibernation:

4. Delete Temporary files/Temporary Internet Files (Disk Cleanup Extended)
5. Perform a SMARTPlacement or Consolidate Free Space defragmentation pass.
6. Perform a boot time defrag.
7. Shrink drive.
Repeat steps 5 - 7 several times until drive is not able to shrink any further. Important: Don't forget to enable System Restore and/or Hibernation after you have finished.

I like Aomei products, buy am not keen on the new interface of partition asistant. It doesn't indicate the extended partition in that screenshot.
