Windows 7 not detecting NVIDIA GeForce 8200M

I just installed Windows 7 on my Compaq Presario CQ50. For some reason the video card is not detected. Instead of seeing NVIDIA GeForce 8200M in the device manager or where the display adapters are, it is using a standard Microsoft VGA driver. It is using a generic non-pnp monitor. Not sure why it will not detect my card. It worked fine in Vista Home. Any suggestions? Tried uninstalling and letting auto-detect again, but still using generic. About ready to switch to XP. Help!

    Thanks.

Dude, you don't need to use auto-detect to detect your graphics card. Download the drivers from nVidia or install it from the nVidia setup CD if you got one. http://www.nvidia.com/object/noteboo...6.81_whql.html

Ah, just got it working. Ended up upgrading the Graphics Driver for NVIDIA nForce MCP77MV Chipset. For me it is at (Graphics Driver for NVIDIA nForce MCP77MV Chipset Compaq Presario CQ50-210US Notebook PC - HP Customer Care (United States - English)). Rebooted and recognized it. Thanks.
