Problem Creating D: Partition On Disk 1

I am using Windows 7 Home with AOMEI 8.2. My HD is partitioned into C: and E: drives, with the DVD as D: How can I change the letter of the DVD to something else so I can change E: to D:?

Nevermind, I just had an epiphany and remembered how to do it.

    Hi skuddle,

Did you do it this way ...

Click Start => right-click Computer => click Manage => click Disk Management => right-click the D: drive => click Change Drive Letter and Paths... => Select the new drive letter => OK => Select Yes.

If not, perhaps you could share the method you used so that other people visiting this thread with the same problem can benefit please.

    Thanks in advance.

Sorry for the delay, I've been away from my computer for several days.

No, that's not the way I did it. I did try it at first but was not able to change the drive letter for the DVD player.

So I used AOMEI's program to change the DVD's drive letter to something else, and had no problem doing so.

    Hope this helps.
