Why does my 64gb Micro card only show as 27gb in camera

I have a 64gb Sandisk micro card that when formatted (using the special Sandisk micro card formatter) is 64gb on the PC but when I put in my Sportiv bullet camera only shows 27gb. Tried surfing for answers but all I come up with are people with the same problem. Any ideas?

What is a Sportiv bullet camera? Model number and perhaps a link to it on the web?

    If you go here-

Number of pictures that can be stored on a memory device

    they have a live chat.

All these devices have a maximum supported capacity card. Check the camera manual too see what it is.

The Amazon UK listing you provided says the camera does NOT include a MicroSD card, must order separate.

That being said, I'll bet the camera supports SDHC (4GB-32GB) cards only. SDXC support is required for >32GB (like 64GB or 128GB cards).

I'll guess the documentation says SDHC but folks have been buying SDXC cards assuming they would work, but haven't found out yet they are limited to 32GB max.

Try to format the SD card in the camera not on a computer.

I'd be willing to bet this is the correct answer.

maybe a firmware update for the Mini F9 DVR camera could allow SDXC cards to be used to full capacity although that's a big longshot
