    What are you trying to reconnect?
    SATA
    NIC
    No specific diagram, picture with your phone or camera is the way I go.
    Click Link ->System Info please
    I'll see if I can find your laptop on the net.

    Thanks Bill. SATA. I think. Booting up goes straight into the third pic. Tried different options in that without result. It's a desktop.

    In picture 2 on the right hand side, you see two yellow ports on the mobo. One is occupied. The one below it is where you should plug in (it says something like SATAA60-2 next to it.

    In the specs for your mobo it says you should have this-

    Intel® B85 chipset :
    4 x SATA 6Gb/s port(s), yellow
    2 x SATA 3Gb/s port(s), dark brown

    I can't see all of them in the picture.

    Akasa is the brand of the cooling fan, not the computer brand.
    You better call a friend that is familiar with desktop hardware.

    His pictures identify his mobo as an Asus. My comment was based on the specs for that mobo.

    Thanks for all the replies. My son is coming over next week. He built it so he should be able to put it back together. Thanks again
