You open Revo Uninstaller and click on the program that you want to uninstall.

It normally starts with the programs built-in [default] uninstall process if there is. Once that has completed it then prompts you for additional cleaning. Select scan for leftover items and select one of the options available [I usually use the Advanced Scan option], then tick everything and delete it. This will remove any registry/exe entries or leftover orphans from the original programs built-in [default] uninstall process that might be left over and causing problems with the re-installation.

Restart the computer and Re-install.
