    Epson XP-640 Printer Install

I uninstalled the printer to try to clear up a driver issue using the uninstall option in device manager. I then uninstalled all the associated programs thru the programs and features window.
Now trying to reinstall using files from Epson site.
Install hung at 10% for hours. I let it continue to run over night. Woke up to find it showing negative % values and counting up to zero at this point.
Any ideas? I have never seen this before.

Rather than try and correct the error, I suggest you Download and run Revo Uninstaller [FREE] from here => Revo Uninstaller.

It starts with the programs built-in [default] uninstall process if there is one and then prompts you for additional cleaning. Select scan for leftover items and select one of the options available [I usually use the Advanced Scan option], then tick everything and delete it. This will remove any registry/exe entries or leftover orphans from the original programs built-in [default] uninstall process.

    Restart the computer!

    Re-install.

    I hope this helps!

Is this a generic uninstall program or specific to my printer? I assume generic.
Also I tried opening the link from my phone and it says cannot find server. Is this because I’m on a phone or is link broken?
    Thanks.

It is a generic OS uninstaller program!

[1] I just clicked on the link and it is working. Try it again!
[2] Why are you using your phone and not your computer?
[3] Are you trying to print from your phone?

Reading this on phone at work. I’m not at my computer. It’s at home.
Should I “x” out of the install screen and run the program you linked, then try the reinstall?

Yes, X out of the screen and then download and run it on the computer at home.
Then re-install the Epson XP-640 Printer.

If that doesn't help, perhaps something like Avast is preventing the file extraction (I don't know if it's gotten past that point).

In addition, if Epsom is like HP, the printer should be disconnected from the computer during the initial part of the installation.

Had Avast off and printer unplugged as per instructions from Epson.
The negative percentage values showing up has me the most puzzled.
