MSI GE62 7RF laptop, cant get usbs to work

Attachment 409989I have asmedia usb3.1 eXtensible host controller, ASMedia usb root hub. I have trawled the internet for drivers but to no avail. Windows says the drivers I have installed are working properly but they arent. Windows 7 is not officially supported but I managed to edit a driver to get graphics to work (online video showed me how) and then nvidia installed. Just cant seem to get usb to work
