It shows one processor because that's all you have.

If you want to see the cores, use task manager's performance tab.

    Is this the one....

I googled and found this advert.....
"The Inspiron 1525 is a Core 2 Duo powered 15.4" screen notebook from Dell. The Inspiron 1525 has Intel X3100 integrated graphics, an Intel Core 2 Duo processor and a thinner and lighter form factor than the previous Inspiron 152"

But yours doesn't say core 2 duo on the system info, Which is very strange.
(My desktop PC is a Core 2 and does)

    "2 processors bud windows 7"
    Lul, bud.

Anyway. My processor is dual core, and, I just ran the same command as you, and, it also says there is 1 processor. As its correct. 1 processor. A processor is the chip, it may have multiple cores, but, be one processor.

As you can see in my attachment, even if it says 1 processor ir that, device manager should still recognize each core as an entry. Also, your task manager should be able to handle multiple cores on the performance tab.

A processor may have two cores for running threads concurrently, which may also depend on hyperthreading but only one physical chip. Download HWInfo32, what does it say in the cpu tab?

I have a Core 2 Duo myself and systeminfo says I have one processor as well. This obviously is correct.
    Code:
    C:\>systeminfo
OS Name: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate
    Processor(s): 1 Processor(s) Installed.

Windows Server 2003, is a SERVER Operating System there is very little running that is not required for core task. A client Operating System is not setup the same way, or ran the same way. A server OS is setup to be dedicated at running background task and as such out of the gate there are very little background task. A client OS is the complete reverse.

The processor is being read correctly, 2 cores, 2 threads.
