    How can I remove an unused partition and merge with active primary ?


    Long story short, I cloned my old SSD (Disk 1) into a new m.2 (Disk 0). Is GPT the right way to go ? Or MBR ?

    But now I have ended up with a 1.76gb primary partition

    I tried deleting it , and also extending my active one, but won't do anything

    How can I get rid of this ? I normally prefer one drive without any partitions.

    Also, now I have a F: drive which I suspect is the EFI System Partition (Disk 0). How can I remove that ?

So I am trying to install the Windows 10 preview image and I partitioned my hard drive. I previously was dual booting W7 and W8.1. I deleted the W7 partition and formatted it and it was set as the active partiton and primary partition. The W8.1 partition is still there but it isn't the primary one....

I have a HP Notebook and it has a 12 gb unused partition that I tried to delete that was used for "HP System Recovery" (Press F10) which reinstalled XP each time from the original installation . Now that is not needed because I am using Acronis Home 2010 Disk Imaging and can restore my computer...
