Mouse wont release

    Mouse wont release


    i cant get my mouse to release the pointer sometimes it dose' and sometimes it takes half a dozen clicks .
    i have tried it with three different mice. same result. i have tried up dating the drivers but windows just says' you have the best drivers for the device.is there anything i can do .
    any help would be appreciated.

    Have you uninstalled the mouse and restart computer? Try a restore point before problem started

    Morning.Oscer 1. i have uninstalled the mouse. and drivers .restarted my computer. still no good. bur i found a old wired
    mouse and tried that and it works great. when i check the drivers on windows it says' i have the best available.
    any thoughts on where i go from here.

    Well sounds like the mouse is faulty to me as a wired mouse works. You could try taking mouse apart and clean it out and check for any broken things in it. Just easier to get new mouse they are not that expensive

    I just notice you tried other wireless mice. Have you tried putting receiver in a different USB port

    Morning Oscer 1 yes i have tried different ports. no joy, also the wired mouse as developed the same problem.
    so its' back to square one.nay other help you can give i will be grateful

    yes i tried yesterday no joy. but i cant' remember exactly when this started,and i have put a couple of programmes on (these are OK i have them before) that i have paid for so i dont want yo lose them.
    anything else i can try.

    Run sfc also after sfc done and comes up good then try a clean startup SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker
