Have a look at the last comment in this thread (hope I'm allowed to post the source), the guy posted a method trying enter the bios (he will be more clear than me detailing the steps).

Quote:
This worked for me, run the optional steps too for better luck:
  • Turn on your CPU
  • Keep an eye on your keyboard/mouse light to know when your USB devices get powered. As soon as you see the keyboard/mouse light up, start pressing DEL
  • Your CPU should now be going into BIOS although your monitor is still blank and not showing anything.
  • (Optional) Wait for 10-20 seconds just to make sure it has entered the BIOS. To make sure the BIOS is up, pressing ALT+CTRL+DEL should restart the CPU. Repeat steps 2 and 3.
  • (Optional) Press F9 then left arrow then ENTER to reset BIOS to defaults. Your PC will not restart after this.
  • Press F10 then press ENTER.
  • Your CPU should restart and now you should be able to see the BIOS option, hit DEL key to enter bios like usual.
Also a way to check the motherboard capacitors and soldered video ports?
you'll have to unmount some parts to have a closer look.

Amoretam, I was not aware of the motherboard called Sandy Bridge. When I started doing some research, I was pleased I didn't have one. I guess you are a Gamer. I am not, so your experience is way beyond mine. But the webpage.... Best Sandy Bridge motherboard: 8 reviewed | TechRadar
gave me a bit of an education. I love windows 7, and my desire to help where I had had a similar experience was what motivated me. But I think the Sandy Bridge stuff is a bit outside my experience. I hope you solved your problem. I would love to hear what you found and how you solved it. Cheers.

Thank you, I still have to follow NoN's last advice. I haven't go the time.

I love Windows 7 too and dislike Windows 10.

I am not a gamer, I am an audio production guy.

Thanks

Thanks

coincidence... my grandson is doing audio engineering at a uni in Sydney... and I am a composer trying to publish and produce my music with skills I have learned over 20 years... and I HATE Windows 10.. Now I find they are adjusting many installations to not be compatible with windows 7. Microsoft needs a real WW serve. They could have left Windows 7 for the "Home User" and made Windows 10 for "Business".... Nearly everything I do is on Windows 7 compatible software. Windows 10 is impossibly over complicated and not at all user friendly for users focused on ART or MUSIC ... I see no real advantages with Windows 10 that could not have been built into the Windows 7 system including OPTIONS for users to use their own computers the way they want to.
