Using Laptop without a Battery - Risky or Not...

Hello everyone. It has been a while , since i have come to Seven Forums.Anyways , i hope everyone is doing fine.I will get straight to the issue i.e how risky is using a laptop without a battery.

Recently my Laptop (which i have been using for roughly 5 years) , started having an issue with the Power.Where the power would go ON & OFF.So , long story short : the repair Shop guys did everything from changing the Charger Adapter (which was faulty too sadly). Then , tried fixing some socket. And finally some issue was found in the Motherboard.A crack which was fixed by them.Even after all of this , the power would go ON & OFF.

So, the repair guys came with a conclusion that the battery was causing this strange Voltage issue. Now,i already have spend some money on a New Replacement Charger Adapter & Motherboard Crack fix.So, i do not want to buy a Replacement Battery or a New Battery. So,the repair guy suggested to use the laptop without a battery.

Now , my concern is : what risk this could result in.I have read issues like : OS getting damaged / Hard Disk getting damaged & similar , if there is some electricity fluctuation (which where i am living by the way is not a norm).

So, finally is it safe to use a Laptop without a Battery...

I use 17" display laptops, first thing I do is remove the battery and put in a box on the shelf...

The risk is that you may loose your work on a power failure.

If the battery is bad and you don't remove it, the big risk is that you can damage the internal PS.

I think that actually happened with my laptop too & it caused my power Voltage to somehow malfunction (Probably). And everytime the Rapair guys fixed the issue , it would come back.Until i removed the battery. The repair guy finally said that the battery is the cause.

This repair guy is not so reliable eh? But you can use the laptop without a battery like using a desktop without a battery it's just a matter of that you ain't going anywhere with your laptop. The other thing is that the only reason I use a laptop for things is that if the power goes out... I still have a computer.
