it came to me in a dream. my login and pass for my dusty goflex home. i can access it through the network now, but however i cannot load it's webpage to configure it, nor can i get the dashboard software to connect to it. it does read the name, but errors with 'can't connect to the nas device'.
smb1 is enabled on win764

i know it's been discontinued and support withdrawn, what i'm not sure is with the loss of support, if this affects the dashboard or web interface connectivity. big bold letters at seagate told me not to do a factory reset.

maybe someone knows of a dedicated forum?
