Can't get a download to work for my Webcam

I have a new Logitech webcam C270, I think I found the correct softwear that I tried to down load but it will not download because it says, partly, that it is a PART file, when I click on that to have Firefox open and install it nothing happens
The part file ends in exe.part there is also another one that says:

LogiCameraSettings_2.5.17 is not a valid Win32Application

I don't understand any of this and I thought that this would be such an easy camera to install.
I need help to understand all of this and can not get it from Logitech

If that's a brand new Logitech HD Webcam C270, didn't a software driver disc come with it?

No there was no disc. I guess the new way it to go to their site and get one and that is what my problem is. I have tried and tried, and it all is so confusing for me to have to read all of the things that are on that site and then figure them all out. I thought it would be easy to just connect the webcam and let it be but now I do need some softwear to down load.

i thought someone on this forum would know something about this that might help me. I do know that disc used to come with camera but because people don't have a slot for discs anymore this must be the new way.

The Logitech support site doesn't appear to have a driver software package for it, so it may be "plug and play" and not require one.

What's the exact webpage link where you tried to download it from and wound up with a partial download?

O Dear I would have to go back through all of Logitech's pages to see if I could find it. It looked like a chart as that was the only thing I could think of. Now I went back to Dell site where my son bought the webcam for me, and in the specs it said:
Color
Black

Software / System Requirements

Software Included
Drivers & Utilities, Logitech Vid HD

OS Required
Microsoft Windows Vista, Microsoft Windows 7 (32/64 bits), Windows 8

Now there were nothing included as I guess they want you to go to the Logitech site and download from there. I just can not figure this out any more, and I am sorry I can not give you a page. It was a chart, where you had to go accross the top to find your cam, then scroll down to a number and that was the download, all very hard to do for me.

I hate to tell you but that is what I tried to download and because the last part of it is :.exe.part it won't do anything no matter how many times i click on it. I think it is the part that is the problem but I don't want to have to fiddle with my computer to down load more stuff just to I can open a part download

I downloaded it and it downloaded fine. Are you sure you let it finish downloading? Part is what happens if it doesn't finish downloading.
