- It may not charge if it gets to a threshold set point. This set point may be something like 50%, 80% or 100%.
Set points below 100% are intent to extend battery life.
- Is your battery healthy? Batteries that don't hold charge can damage the internal power supply. In this case remove the bad battery and work on the charger and / or replace the battery.
If it turns out that battery needs replacing, check out NinjaBatt, that's where I got my Acer Aspire 77xx battery.
thanks for the replies i guess the battery would be the culprit. but i think i change both of them to be sure currently the battery is still intact on the laptop should i remove it? im not using the laptop atm until i got some replacement
Is the battery healthy? Once running Windows, if you remove the charger, how long it will run?
i have no idea but it says on the battery icon "consider replacing the battery" i think it lasted for 40-50 minutes
If the laptop runs on the battery (without the charger) for 40-50 minutes it isn't that bad.
so the charger needs to replace it then?
i think there is. it would stop charging if reach 80% but i toggle it off im not using it
