Been using a brother hl-2140 printer with Win7 without issue for a while. There were some toner lines, so I took out the toner cartridge cleaned it and reinstalled it. Still was able to print. Then drum error occurred a day or two later. I did the reset here -

The Drum LED is still on or flashing after I replace the drum unit with a new one. | Brother

Which maybe I shouldn't have done without actually replacing the drum. Error light went away, but now nothing will print. No response at all when jobs are sent...

I know how to cancel jobs and I did so. I stopped and restarted the printer service, rebooted the printer, and PC, no change.

No indication if this is a hardware or software issue. Any thoughts?
