that's one of the SSD's - the pair aren't running in RAID at the moment..
I have Corel and a few games running via the SSD's - makes things run very fast..
    - the OS is on drive C: (a conventional SATAHD)

This the read-out for that one:

    - not too bad..:)

Seeing more of the SSDs.... I still prefer the bang-for-buck of the VR drives. Love mine in RAID0... and still haven't been very impressed for the GB/$ that SSD gives you without the performance of my 2 VRs.

Of course, everybody looks at the HDTune graphs...but the real performance benefit is in random access speeds which are in the 0.1ms range on an SSD. My virus scans finish in under 2 minutes, my malware scans under 1:30 usually and my games load almost instantly. And with the SSD, you don't have to deal with RAID, heat or any noise.

I don't think that SSD's are for everybody and I don't feel that I have to have 1 in all of my PC's....but there is no denying the performance increase on the machine I am running the SSD drive in.

    Hi,

    I have 3 HDD Samsung Spinpoint F3 link at Newegg.com - SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD502HJ 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive

    Here is my results below.

Not bad from old IDE hard drive to this new SATA2 hard drives worth upgrades, I am not familiar with SSD stuff but not right now for me to get it till Windows 8 with full support with SSD right out of box in the future implemented 100% .

    Just my 2 cents.

Can someone tell me how most people are getting CPU usage at -1.0%? Most online hard drive reviews show at least 0.x% on the positive side.

    500GB Seagate Barracuda.

What does "burst rate" mean with this benchmark? My graph and statistical results look about like they ought to for my drive, except the reported "burst rate" is slower than my actual maximum transfer rate. Most of you show a burst rate over 150 mb/s, my burst rate is something like 90 if I recall correctly. I think my max transfer rate was about 115, and my average was about 92. Any idea what can make the "burst rate" read low? Does burst rate matter as long as the actual maximum and average transfer rates look OK?
