    heres mine


    I do like Raid 0
    ASUS M3N78-VM AMD Phenom X3 8400
    EVGA 8800 GT
    8gm DDR2 800
    2 seagate 500gb and 2 wd 500 gb drives

    If your BIOS is set to IDE I would change it to AHCI.

    There are a couple of ways, easiest is AHCI : Enable in Windows 7 after OS install.

    First time I tried it (before finding this great tutorial), guess I was lucky, did quite a bit of searching.

    I just loaded the AHCI driver, it asked for a re-boot, so re-booted, went to BIOS and changed it to AHCI, save & exit.
    Started up with AHCI enabled.
    Noticed a nice little performance increase.

    My main reason was to get my external HDDs to hot swap, worked just as advertised, wanted to take them out after backup was done without having to re-boot.
