Brand spankin' new WD5000AAKX. I did have to put a jumper on it to throttle it back to 3Gbps because my mobo doesn't have 6Gbps capability.
I also took a screenshot of the SMART attributes after formatting the drive.
Try it without the jumper, it's backwards compatible with 6Gbs and may perform a bit better.

No real need to throttle back to 3Gb/s. No harddrive will ever max out 6Gb/s.
We arent even maxing 3Gb/s sata yet.
So dont go through any throtteling back stuff.
    If not completely necessary though

I put a jumper on as a precaution, because my mobo does not support the SATA III (6Gbps) speeds. I ASSumed that there'd be maybe a compatibility issue like I had in the past connecting a SATA II (3Gbps) drive to an old FIC AM39L mobo that had only SATA I (1.5Gbps) speed capability. Wouldn't boot.

UPDATE: I tried it without the jumper. Not only are these pretty lousy results, but the whole computer acts like it's trying to run through quicksand. Back it goes.

This is not a disk but a stick. Beats any HDD.

    Ouch.
Your specs indicate that it's your only HD. Was your PC doing any other I/O at the time? Your CPU was relatively active at 15.8%.

I just got this stick. The access time is similar to a SSD. Transfer rate compares to my 128GB stick above.
