Here's a weird result: WD 160GB ATA-100 drive, master position on my IDE ribbon cable.
I've never seen such a flat result on a spinner before. Odd.

New WD drive I ordered via Amazon. I guess this is good? Running in my 2009 Gateway PC so it's probably not getting the full SATA potential.

I was wondering about a 10EZEX. Even next to the hub, you're reading 90MB/sec? No spinner I have comes even close to that.
So yeah, I'd say that's quite good.

I believe this drive uses a single platter, which may be part of the reason why.

    Amazon.com: WD Blue 1 TB Desktop Hard Drive: 3.5 Inch, 7200 RPM, SATA 6 Gb/s, 64 MB Cache - WD10EZEX: Computers & Accessories

Worth noting that it is only $2 more than the nearest equivalent WD green drive and $1 less than the nearest Seagate. If this price holds I may order another next month. This drive is mostly to set aside as a replacement drive for either PC should the current drives fail but with 2 PCs it would not hurt to have 2 spares.

    My Seagate ST31000528AS (1000gb)

Here is my Read benchmark for my Seagate ST31000528AS (1000gb). I am in the process of upgrading to a Samsung 850 EVO SSD and will post those results once that process is completed.
