Will the 7740x Work With Windows 7

I'm looking to build a Windows 7 Gaming PC for "older" games and was wondering if the 7740x would work with Windows 7. I have found conflicting results on Google.

I have seen on other forums and these ones that the Kaby Lake processors "should" work with Windows 7.

So if anyone knows or can help me find this, that would be much appreciated! :)

EDIT: This is my first time on the forum so if I've done anything wrong please let me know

    Hello,

When it comes to older games that are CPU-intensive, the performance you’ll get from a 4-core processor can vary based on the specific game and its requirements.

    The Core i7-7740X features
four cores and eight threads. It lacks integrated graphics, which means it doesn’t have built-in GPU capabilities for gaming or display output.

Which Motherboard, GPU, and Ram sticks do you plan on using in this build? (Manufacturer and model number)

Do you already own an i7-7740 processor?

    Hello AmericanPharaoh,

I have done further research and have found the 7940x and will probably use that, for mono I will use the ASRock X299 Taichi, for gpu I will use a ASUS Strix Gaming 2080 TI and ram will be some spare G.Skill Trident Z 4x8gb ddr4-3200 CL16.

    And no, I don't own a i7-7740.

    Thanks
