    Hello.

I have a Toshiba nb300 with these features:

    Resolution
    1024 x 600 (WSVGA)
    CPU
    Intel Atom N450 / 1.66 GHz
    GPU
    Intel GMA 3150
    RAM
    1 GB
    Storage
    250 GB HDD SATA 1.5Gb/s / 5400 rpm
    Battery Capacity
    5800 mAh
Toshiba NB300 (108) - full specs, details and review

What do I do for you? Upgrade to RAM? Is it worth it? Someone has already installed a new operating system like Chrome OS. Can you handle it? Thank you very much.

As above. You could also consider Chrome Flex, which is made specifically for older, low spec systems. It gets its power from the cloud, so your specs should work fine.

you do have to create a Chrome/Google account to do it, which prevented me from trying it out, since I prefer not to do that.

Netbooks aren't designed to do much more than browsing the internet. They are cheap and very low end. You can get a ram upgrade but don't expect much from it.

    Max RAM Supported 2 GB
    RAM Type DDR2 SDRAM
    Speed 800 MHz

In case of tricky compatibility it would make sense to get something cheap like this

    2 GB PC8500 DDR3 1066MHz 204 Pin Memory £0.15

and if you think it is worth the expense, a sata ssd would make a big difference.
