    Square One - Old dog, new whatever. "DESKTOP PC's"


    When replacing a Hard Drive or a Solid-State Drive, which is the C:\ Operating System Drive, I have learned / experienced that I should:

    1.) Power Down the PC.
    2.) Remove the Power Cord.
    3.) Press the Power On Button so the Green Light on the Mother Board goes out.
    4.) Then remove / replace the Drive.

    Is this the correct procedure?

    If not, how should it be done?
