    Scsi/Raid Host Controller - HELP

    Hi.

First of all, Ive been searching the forums, and all of the suggested solutions doesnt work for me.

I realized that the SCSI/RAID host controller were missing when i installed a program called tuneup utilities.

Ive been having problems with itunes, when transferring songs to my iphone, the computer would suddenly start to lag, stop transffering, and my cpu usage were like 80-90%, and I had to reboot.

I suspect the problem to be related to these SCSI/RAID controllers.

Ive tried updating my bios and this doesnt help either.

Tried troubleshooting through windows, updating drivers through windows, with no luck...

PLEASE help me, this is getting so irritating!

    My comp specs:

    AMD Phenom 8750 triple core
    2 X SATA Hdd
    4GB DDR2
    Geforce 9800 GT
    Motherboard ASUS M2N68

    Hi and Welcome

First you need to install the raid driver, second trash tuneup utilities, then you may be able to address the itunes issue. Btw what version of itunes are you using? Itunes needs ver 9 or higher to sync correctly

Thanks for the answer. I installed tuneup utilities after I installed itunes, and been using it a long time before tuneup utilities, but the problem with itunes crashing and the high cpu usage have been going on since I got itunes. Itunes is the only program that stalls my computer like that, and only when transferring. Tuneup is now uninstalled. Itunes is up to date.

I cant find those raid drivers on Asus´ homepage (ASUSTeK Computer Inc.) Im running Win 7 64bit

I just now tried to disable this SCSI/RAID host controller in device manager.

Before my computer was making this high pitch noice whenever i was using it, but not now.

I can also transfer music without any problems now.

But is this going to have an effect on my harddrive speed and so on?

    please anyone ?!?!?!
