I would like to know as well. I am having a problem accessing my drive.

Just purchased a HP dv6-1375dx running windows 7 Home premium. When I connect my Buffalo HD-PF500U2 I cannot get access the device.

I can see it in Device and Disk manager but cannot access. Getting "device is working properly" windows did not start device driver.

I went through support with Buffalo and they seem to believe its the chipset drivers. They are not seeing problems with other units on Windows 7

    Any thoughts?

    Hello,

Have you tried updating your chipset drivers? If not, do you need help finding them?

P.S. I may not get your reply until tomorrow, so hopefully someone else can help you.

Would that be from the HP page or here? I went to HP but am not sure if i did the correct driver. I would appreciate your assistance.

Using the HP Assistant on my laptop I downloaded 10 updated drivers for everything from webcam software to device drivers. I am still able to see the Buffalo when I plug it in but still says the same thing about not starting the driver.

Is there anything else that I can try?

    Thanks.
