    HP Photosmart c6150 won't print

I just upgraded to 7 from vista through the hp upgrade program for my new computer and everything works great, however i can't print anything. I have installed the correct driver and I can scan and use every other function of the printer. When i try to print, the job shows up in the queue and disappears within seconds. I have been on with hp for hours and they don't know how to fix the problem. Does anybody here have a fix?

I have the same problem with the C6150 printer, also tried to get HP help, but couldn't fix the problem. Installed latest drivers/fixes, etc. I saw one thread on the HP site that indicated that there was a conflict with some old default windows drivers on the machine, but doesn't give any instructions for fixing the problem.

Try this. Uninstall all traces of the printer. If you have been using the Drver for Windows 7, try installing the Driver for XP in compatibity mode. If that does not work uninstall everything again and try using the driver for Vista. Yes, a bit unorthordox, but its the best idea so far. You will lose nothing but some time, if it does not work and it will give others time to come by, with possibly better solutions.

I have actually tried installing both the vista and xp drivers in compatibility mode, but the same problem exists. Thanks though. Anybody else have any ideas?
