    Hello,

I bought a new laptop (acer) a few days ago, with windows 7 home premium. and my printer does not work with it (lol, otherwise I wouldn't write this post).
I already tried the driver download Mubbasher posted, but it doesn't work (installation of the scanner succeeds but not the installation of the printer). I also tried the installation after cleaning the hard drive with the dellXPcleanUpUtility. But this didn't change anything.

Has anyone any idea that helps me solving the problem or sees things I haven't considered yet?
    Thank you for helping!!

    Welcome to SevenForums hedgehog
When you downloaded the driver did you run it in compatibility mode? Have a look here at this tutorial maybe it will help. Good luck to you.

Thanks for your reply! I guess you're right, I didn't know how to use the compatibility mode. I will try it again!

Well, it still doesn't work. I tried it in compatibility mode, even in different (vista and xp). and I tried to clean it before installing the "new" version with the dellcleanuputility but this didn't work either. I don't know what else to do oder to think of. Did I still forget something? Or do I just have to accept the the printer wouldn't work with my new laptop!?

    [QUOTE=Mubbasher;743203]Hi,
I had difficulty with installing Dell Photo All in One (AIO) 924 on Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit system (where as it had been working previously with Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit system).

Dell support said there is no driver for 924, the only option is to buy a new printer.

The Dell UK support site has Vista drivers (and the application), none of them worked for Windows 7 Ultimate x64.
I did some more searching / googling, and found the Vista 64 drivers on the US support site here:
    Drivers and Downloads

Installing it (in Vista compatibility mode) has resolved the 924 printer recognition problem (the full Scanning/copying/printing application has been installed).

So, I do not have to buy a brand new printer Mr. Dell Support!!!![/QUOTE

This did the job for me, cheers dude so now I don't have to buy a new printer either :)

Hi there, it's a long time ago that you had this problem, but now I'm having the same problem. Tearing my hair out...not that I've got much! Tried every which way to install the drivers and get my new laptop to talk to my Dell 924 but without success either through USB or through my Dell Printer Adaptor 3300.

    Did you find a solution?

    Cheers
