    Awesome, thanks xD.

When I right click, it gives me the option "new simple volume". Is that what I need to do?

If you're like me, I want my hard drives in a logical order: So I would right click the optical drive and choose change drive letter and change it to whatever. Then I'd do the same to your new partition and assign the drive letter to d:

Then go back to the optical and assign any drive letter you'd like it to be.

Post back if this doesn't work for you.

    Regards

When I right clicked, I didn't see an option for that. Any idea how?

Highlight the partition - right click - drop down menu choice "Change Drive Letter and Paths"...
