    Strange CD/DVD drive

I have two SATA CD drives installed Sudden appearance now of a drive letter listed under "computer" for a third drive. This is not listed in "computer management"
or in "device manager" . How do I rid myself of this intruder?

You have an extra cdrom drive showing?

Did you recently install a disk imaging app. of some kind, or an iso handler like Poweriso, or ultraiso?

If so , open the app. and detach the virtual drive .

You should be able to see it in Device Mnager , click View>Show Hidden devices.

Do you have Office 2010 beta installed?
It uses a "click to run" technology which creates a virtual Q: drive...
