Windows 7: 'Destroying' DVD-R

Yeah I tried scratching the printed side off but it didnt do anything.

I got an old DVD and put it in my laptop to see if it read it, which it did. I then took out a knife and scratched it to hell, when I put it in the laptop it made noises like it was trying to read it and stuff but in the end it didnt do anything. So I might just do that and then smash it.

Ooooo pal don't put them back in your drive for testing ... your cd/dvd laser is gonna do back flips and could break. Just have fun smashing the crap outa them ... when they are in a squillion pieces no one will be able to read them.
