I'm guessing you were using XP and Vista in x86 mode?
So whats changed?
You went to X64 so that changes a lot of conditions for the mobo, processor and peripherals.

No, Vista is x64. XP MCE is x86.
BUT...
XP is simpler (even though it was clean-installed)...
Vista was preinstalled...
And 7 I clean-installed; thus I needed drivers and such. I saw this connection, that's why it is a bit wierder.
