CPU cooler for AMD Phenom II x4 955 BE

I got this CPU for Xmas, and I am planning on overclocking it. I am just looking for suggestions on good coolers for $100 or less.

If you need the name of the mobo, just ask.

    Thanks

Seems okay. But make sure you have space in your case as it's a very large fan. Gl man.

Buddy of mine bought this one a couple of weeks ago.

Newegg.com - ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2 92mm Fluid Dynamic CPU Cooler - CPU Fans & Heatsinks

    Seems pretty happy with it.

    (comes with pre-applied Arctic MX-2)

EDIT: Btw, nice choice going with the 955.

i7 920-esque gaming performance for ~$130 bucks less.

    Newegg.com - COOLER MASTER Intel Core i7 compatible V8 RR-UV8-XBU1-GP 120mm Rifle CPU Cooler - CPU Fans & Heatsinks

Cooler Masters are pretty good. Its quite large though. As DarkDavil said, make sure you have enough room.

Thanks for the help, I have the nvidia gtx 275 in my case and still have maybe 5 inches to spare.

Do you think that will be enough room?

I have a feeling the coolermaster v8 will fit, but just barely with the side fan. :P.

You'll most likely have room. I'm trying to figure out how tall it is but I seem to end up with 2cm, which seems no where close. That's a little less than an inch.

On newegg, one of the reviews says:

"It has a backplate that goes behind the motherboard to support the weight. Removal of the motherboard to install is required."

So if that bothers you, you may want to pick a different one.

Also, your case as a side panel fan. You should be careful of anything too tall.

Here's Skunksmash's cooler from newegg in USD .
